Redeemer Church Christmas Market is an annual event made possible through First Love*. Every November Redeemer Christmas Market partners with a collective of Gospel-centered organizations from around the globe who provide products based on fair-trade practices. We strive to economically empower their artisans through craft training and financial stability while sharing with them the love of Christ and the hope of the Gospel. Each organization has a different vision and focus: some are working to provide relief for orphaned children in Africa, some to work to end the poverty cycle in Haiti, and more.

About 8 years ago, Jamie and Adeline Opperman felt the Lord working in their hearts to care for widows, orphans and the oppressed both locally and globally. Through God’s loving grace, he led them to help provide economic empowerment to the most vulnerable through creating a marketplace of global goods with a focus on supporting partners engaged in Kingdom work. With the help of many volunteers, this event came to be the annual Redeemer Christmas Market. About a year ago, God began to again stir in their hearts to further support these organizations through replicating the market and partnering with additional churches and communities. God answered this prayer though First Love International Ministries. Adeline was offered a position as Director of First Love Market, a new initiative within First Love International Ministries. With this change and answer to prayer, the ministry is able to expand beyond a one-day event and can continue to walk alongside and partner with those who are committed to loving, encouraging, serving and helping to bring dignified work to the most vulnerable around the world.
